Having read about this in a photography book, I finally saw the weather turn cloudy which would make a great time for a landscape roadtrip! Fantasy Canyon is a bit south of Vernal, UT tucked away in oil fields and dirt roads. Just getting there was an adventure as the signs were few, the dirt roads were either washed out with the rain or just in very poor condition. The Subaru Forester took it all without a hitch and just came out carrying a number of pounds of dirt afterwards!

But when I arrived at Fantasy Canyon, it was a small place, but it was astounding as I had never seen anything like it before! I enjoyed my time snapping away until the rain drove me off. This is a fabulous sight and a must see for any photographer traveling through Utah!
