20130511-12 Yellowstone
This is what waking up hours before dawn, breakfast of pop tarts and water, spending hours scouting for locations rewards! All the boredom, frustration at the bland daylight, and many miles of traveling all disappear instantly at the sight of the red orange sunrise and the joy of photography takes over! The sunset at Fishing Cone was disappointing due to the clouds but the clouds made the sunrise even more wonderful! Unfortunately the neutral density gradient filter was a 3 stop, so it was a bit heavy, but I am still happy with the results. Also the predawn light was the most wonderful part of the experience, the usual train of asian tourists arrived right at dawn, all the movement and shaking of the boardwalk did make me sad as everyone crowded around my what used to be solitary spot.
