Popped out to see the Great Basin National Park (and I wouldn't be surprised if you've never heard of it either). The highlights consist of Wheeler peak and a cave system with a lot of fascinating detail, but unfortunately much of it was damaged before it was incorporated into the national park.

Because Great Basin is in one of the last dark areas of the US, I tried some astro-photography but remembered that I don't have the patience to stand around while my camera is doing a 15 minute exposure :)

Also on the drive I wandered out towards Eureka, NV then turning north and seeing Lamoille Canyon which was a beautiful drive (no pictures).
