Midway through my trip I made it to Yosemite National Park! Alas.. I made it to this celebrated area during a very rainy period.... but I made the best of it and took pictures while sopping wet! Additionally Tioga Pass out to the east, my original plan to get to Death Valley, was closed due to the weather so I ended up making the very long loop south nearly to Bakersfield and swinging through an extremely curvy mountainous road to cut some miles off of the trip!
