20180826-28 Iceland - The Golden Circle and Helka
The Golden Circle is a loop that lies in a day's drive from Reykjavik and consists of Thingvellir National Park, the location of Iceland's first parliament as well as the meeting point between the North American and European continental plates, Geysir, a large geothermal area, and Gulfoss, an immense waterfall. Also pictured is the drive along routes 32 and 26 with a highlight of Hjalparfoss, the dual waterfall surrounded by basalt columns, and the lava fields of the volcano Helka. The horses were on or near Leirubakki.
