20180824-25 Iceland - Reykjavik and Western Peninsula
The adventure began in the city of Reykjavik walking along the market streets and along the harbor, enjoying the sights of the architecture, nature, and people! The glass building is the Harpa Concert Hall and the 'boat' in the sunset is the Sun Voyager sculpture. On the second day we traveled north and west towards the Western Peninsula of Vesturland. We saw the spectacular shores of Hellnar and the Snaefellsjokull Volcanic National Park. The lava fields extended from the volcano to the coast and created an alien landscape. As evening fell, the final stop was photographing the Kirkjufell mountain.
